March-Westin Scales Chestnut Ridge

March-Westin continued its aggressive play Thursday night as they faced Chestnut Ridge Blue.

MW came out of the gates strong with a first inning where  the entire starting lineup got an at bat, producing 7 runs.  The offensive production cooled off later in the game but by that time the damage had already been done and the Ridge just couldn’t find an answer.  MW went on to throw up a couple runs in each of the remaining innings.

The MW infield is continuing to show improvement with every game and this was no exception.  Highlighted by 3 double plays, one of which was just instances away from being a triple play.  In fact you can tell the team is starting to really find the right formula when you hear Coach Tom say things like “if you don’t know the lineup by now, you’re not in it.”

Tom went 3-3 for the second straight game, but he was not alone this game, Nick, Jonathan, and Randy all reached base every time they stepped up to the plate.

The scorebook from the matchup be viewed here.

March-Westin will take on Prime Thyme this Saturday at 2pm in one of this seasons most highly anticipated games.
