March-Westin Gets Worked by WebWorks

In the second game of Saturday’s double header MW faced rival WebWorks in what many have touted as the most anticipated regular season game yet. Critics say that this game could be a preview of the boparc championship game.

MW jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning thanks to a bases clearing triple by Wimer, but MW failed to capitalize on this initial momentum.

WebWorks would slowly add runs to their total, pulling out to what would eventually become a 5 run lead going into the bottom of the 7th. “We showed a lot of discipline by getting out of some really tough innings without much damage. They left a lot of runners on base” said Scott.

Even with a 5 run deficit going into the bottom of the final inning March-Westin appeared to be in good shape as the top of the order was due to bat. MW rallied to score 4 runs, but a couple line outs back to the pitcher proved to be too costly, eventually leaving MW with the bitter taste of a 1 run loss.

Some say that MW might have won if it were their first game of the day, but the heat might have taken too much energy from them. But most agree that excuses are for losers, and there is no place for losers on this MW team.

WebWorks left the field victorious on this Saturday afternoon with a final score of 13-12.

I think that the editors of mwball are slipping a little bit. The Chasing Bonds update isn’t even close.

    It should read:

    Nick-8, AMIE-7, Jackson-3, Tom-1…

I guess that just ’cause I am a girl it doesn’t matter that I hit THREE over the weekend. I feel that I have been overlooked all season. Thanks for everything…

The editors of MWBall are aware of your latest statistics however as of this game you had not yet hit your home runs. Your stats will reflect your MVP weekend in the appropriate post.

The editors would like to take this time to apologize for the slow post turnaround.

Uh, please be nice. As you can tell by Amie’s HR total she packs quite a punch, so please don’t make her mad.
