March-Westin leaves Westover Fire en fuego
MW made quick work of their latest opponent Tuesday night as they only needed 3 innings to defeat Westover Fire by a score of 24-0.
March-Westin showcased its impressive speed at nearly every position as they legged out 6 triples in the first inning alone. MW would continue to dominate offensively, with all but one player rounding the bases at least twice.
Both Nick and Wimer added another dinger to their season home run totals bringing them to 3 and 2 respectively.
The defense of MW also looked solid, allowing only 5 hits and recording a 5-3-1 double play.
However there was some strong debate over the current batting order as rumor has it that MW upper management has been putting restrictions on the lineup order. Tom (GM) accounted for 22% of March-Westins offensive outs Tuesday night.
The scorebook can be viewed here.
March-Westin faces Gerrick Electric tonight at 8pm.
Yard Work Race: Nick-3, Wimer-2, Randy-1

No commentsMarch-Westin Chops Chippy’s
MW entered the fall season with several new faces Tuesday night, but walked away with a familiar result as they defeated Chippy’s 16-15.
With Nick taking over the day-to-day coaching duties and Tom moving to the GM position some lineup changes were bound to happen. Most notably was Scott moving to the #2 spot in the batting order, bumping Tom down to the #8 slot. Many believe that this may be a direct result of what is clearly the slump welcoming back its favorite member as Tom struck out in yesterday’s coed game.
Nick also struggled in his left field position, eventually being replaced by Mark who looked to be in midseason form as he fielded several hard hit ground balls at shortstop. However all was quickly forgotten of Nicks fielding woes after a solo shot deep into the night sky that helped seal a victory for MW.
Randy also showcased some defensive skills, not only reeling in a tough fly ball for a catch but he also made a diving tag at the plate.
Chippy’s would go on to post a solid 7th inning, closing MWs lead to just 1 run, but the deficit proved too much for Chippy’s to overcome.
MW faces Team Wheeling tonight at 8:00pm.
