MW Sedates Mylan Express, Gets Sold by ERA.
March-Westin played its first double header of the fall season Tuesday night as they faced Mylan Express and long awaited opponent ERA Real Estate.
MWs cruised during their first game of the night, helped out by a few key errors, to a 10 run victory. Leading the charge was MW’s powerful offense with Lt. Dan sending a blast into the night sky, as well as Nick who recorded 3 home runs (one of which was an in the park HR).
Tom continues to set record highs on the slump-o-meter as he joined the few Westiners who have struck out this year*.
For MWs second game of the night they faced ERA Real Estate in one of this seasons most anticipated matchups.
After 3 innings of strong defense by both teams the score was 4-3 and anyone’s game. But the bottom of the 4th inning proved to be problematic for MW as ERA managed to punch several hits through the infield and quickly accumulated substantial lead.
One of the games few highlights for MW was Scotts running snag at the fence, robbing Tony of what would most likely be an extra base hit.
However, MW was unable to answer ERAs rally in the following innings, losing by a final score of 13-3.
*Some reports suggest Tom actually fouled off his 3rd strike and that it was incorrectly recorded.

It has been OFFICIALLY noted by Mylan’s catcher and Michele - the home plate umpire - that I (Tom) did in fact foul the ball and that she (Michele) made an incorrect call but would not reverse her decision. In the official scorebook it should be listed as an “E-U”, or error by the umpire. What wasn’t mentioned were my two deep drives to the fence, on that hit is and another that landed feet from it.
