March-Westin won a huge upset victory Tuesday night, proving that they will be one of the teams to beat this season, by defeating Chippys 19-9.

Chippys, referred to by some as the “Open Flight All-Stars” because their lineup includes players from various Open Flight teams, was unable to keep up with MWs onslaught of offense.  Although Chippy’s brings several power hitters to the lineup, including Scott “Big Deal” Gyorko, the rules of the fall softball league only allow 3 homeruns per game which plays into the hands of a more agile MW team.

The entire MW lineup performed well, highlighted by a homerun from Jackson and several multiple-base hits from Wimer.
