MW Gets Pruned by Halls Tree Service
March-Westin was unable to hold up to the offensive onslaught put out by #1 ranked Halls Tree Service Thursday night as they lost by a final score of 30-16.
Halls was nearly perfect from the plate as they pounded the MW defense with gap shot after gap shot. By the bottom of the 3rd inning they had put up 22 runs while MW had yet to get 1.
Looking back, perhaps MW should have recognized the lack of focus when Jared and Dave both forgot that there was a game that night. This is a clear result of the complicated schedule March-Westin has, playing EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY FROM SEPT 18 UNTIL OCT 16.
MW would eventually awake from its nap as they would then outscore Halls 16-8 over the next two innings, including a series of back, to back, to back homeruns (Nick, Wimer, Brian). MW was able to fight off the 20 and 15 run mercy rules, only to succumb to the 10 run rule at the end of the 5th.
March-Westin returns to action Tuesday night for a double header as they take on Biscuits at 8pm and Myan Construction at 9pm on Whiston Field.
Dave 20-36 (.556)
Tom 9-16 (.563)
Behold the power of cheese: Nick-7, Jackson-3, Wimer-3, Brian-2

It seems that Dave’s batting average is eerily close to mine… maybe I should bat second again. Oh wait- I forgot- Dave can’t get it up if he isn’t batting second.
